2015 US Army All-American Bowl, How to watch, Auburn Targets, Auburn Commitments

The second high school all star game of the weekend is up, today.

Yesterday was the Under Armour All-American Game, which featured a number of Auburn commitments and targets. Only one Auburn target announced his commitment during that game, and he committed to Alabama. There are fewer commitments in this game, but still plenty of targets. None are expected to announce their intentions, however.

Auburn Commitments

-Chandler Cox, FB/TE
-Kaleb Kim, OT

Cox could very well start for the Tigers next fall at the H-back position. That's the position he's been recruited for. After he's finished with this game, he will head to Auburn as an early enrollee, where he will participate in spring practice. The importance of that cannot be understated as it pertains to Auburn's offense in the fall. Cox was recruited to fill the position held by Jay Prosch in 2013 and Brandon Fulse in 2014. Fulse was serviceable in the position, but he was not the force that Prosch was. Auburn hopes Cox can take on that role (though he will have competition there from people like Gage Batten).

Auburn Targets

-Martez Ivey, OL
-Neville Gallimore, DL
-CeCe Jefferson, DE
-Trent Thompson, DT (Georgia Commit)
-Chidi Valentine-Okeke, OT
-D'Andre Walker, DE

At one time, Ivey was expected to announce at this game, which would not have boded well for the Tigers. However, he has decided to push that off, which means Gus Malzahn will get a chance to visit him before he makes his commitment known.

Auburn has a long way to climb with many of these, but the hire of Will Muschamp is helping with the likes of CeCe Jefferson and Trent Thompson. I don't expect Thompson will flip from Georgia, but Muschamp could definitely help give the Tigers a chance at the undecided Jefferson.
