It's been 28 days since Auburn last played a game within the friendly confines of Jordan-Hare Stadium. Now they're home again and taking on Hugh Freeze's Ole Miss Rebels.

The Tigers have looked improved over the last few weeks. Yes, even with the loss to Arkansas there was improvement. The issues against the Hawgs were with dropped passes and not so great linebacker play. Or at least that's what it seemed like to me.

Ole Miss comes in with a pretty good QB, but not much of a running game. Auburn's run defense has been gashed at times, but overall hasn't been as horrible as we pretend. The passing defense has suffered from a lack of a pass rush. That should hopefully change as it's about a 99.99999% certainty that Carl Lawson will be back for this game.

On the defensive side of the ball, Ole Miss has a pretty good defense that could be much healthier in its own right this weekend against the Tigers. In order to have success, the Tigers are going to have to get in front of the chains. Running for 2-3 yards at best on every first down just isn't going to cut it. At some point you just have to let Sean White sling it. Of course, the receivers have to catch it, too.

Unfortunately it's an early morning game, which are never too fun. They really kill the gameday atmosphere and excitement, inside and outside the stadium. It's also a time when Auburn is attempting to "Stripe the Stadium." We'll see how that works out. Be sure to check that link if you're coming to the game so you know what color to wear for your section!
