BASKETBALL
Wednesday it was Bryce Brown. Yesterday it was New Williams with some words on Auburn basketball and the confidence level on the team. There are going to be a lot of new names for some of you to learn this season if you haven't been following basketball recruiting. It's going to be fun.
SWIMMING AND DIVING
The team kicks off the "dual meet" season with a trip to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama, today. It would be great for the Tigers to pick up another "Iron Bowl of ___" victory!
SOFTBALL
Four Tigers were recognized for their classroom work this past week. It's always nice to see college athletes excelling at both school and sports.
SOCCER
8th ranked Auburn couldn't quite hang with 10th ranked South Carolina Thursday night as the Tigers fell 2-0. That is their second conference loss of the season.
FOOTBALL
Emily covered the diminishing list of Tigers who were named to pre-season watch lists. Three of them have exited their races due to dismissal, benching, and injury.
Auburn is off this week, but that doesn't mean you can't watch football! If you're sticking around the TV to catch the rest of the games, here's a complete schedule of every game on TV.
Some players who would know (because they experienced it) see some pretty big differences between the 2012 team and this 2015 squad. That's an important note for many of you who make the comparison from what you're seeing.
AL.com reports a source informed the Alabama News Network them that Xavier Dampeer suffered an injured jaw in the bar fight that led to Duke Williams' dismissal from the team. It appears Dampeer was trying to help break up the initial incident. I'd love to be able to tell you the insider stuff Phillip Marshall posted on it last last night, but that's behind their paywall at Auburn Undercover.
There really aren't many other football links that I could find late Thursday night, surprisingly, so this one is a little sparse. We've still got some good stuff coming for you today, though.
