The Battle of Va Tech vs Ga Tech is tonight! That's about it. Unless you're into the Sun Belt Fun Belt scene, like me. Even I'm not terribly interested in that game, though, except my team plays South Alabama next weekend.
There's only one game on Friday evening, and that looks like a prime time for PAC12AfterDark. USC at Colorado. Things will get weird.
The noon slate for Auburn fans on Saturday is all that really matters to us, since the Tigers take on the Bulldogs on CBS. Does being on CBS lessen the sting of playing at noon/11am? No. Does being on CBS but not having to deal with Verne and Gary? Eh. 11am kickoffs still suck.
The first game between Top 25 teams is the Bama/MSU game at 3:30. Bama visits CLANGA. Oklahoma State is also playing then, if you want to see a team that's vaulted into the discussion, recently. The next Top 25 game is Memphis at Houston at 7 EST, and seriously 2015? I'm about done with you. Arkansas at LSU at 7:15 could be interesting. A healthy QB had Oregon at Stanford looking a little more exciting, too.
The night's marquee match-up is #12 Oklahoma at #6 Baylor, though. Baylor has been derided for a very week schedule, but they get a tough opponent in this one to prove what they're worth. The night closes out with Washington State at #19 UCLA at 10:45 on ESPN, and I'm going to go ahead and call that if USC/Colorado doesn't give us prime #PAC12AfterDark, this one DEFINITELY will. When the Dread Pirate is involved, things get crazy.
