HOME ON THE PLAINS

Everett has you covered for everything going on in Auburn this weekend as our football team is away in Texas.

AUBURN NEWS

In general "that's pretty cool," an Auburn graduate student is working with the Auburn University Marching Band on developing harnesses and belts that ease the weight of carrying drums to reduce back issues. That's pretty awesome.

Auburn is second lowest in the SEC when it comes to graduation rate. That's pretty unacceptable, right there.

BASKETBALL

It was a thriller in Auburn Arena, but the Tigers squeaked out a 114-109 overtime win against Division II Indianapolis. See my brief thoughts on the game!

SOCCER

The Tigers take on Florida today in the semi-finals. For some reason I thought that was supposed to be yesterday when I wrote the link dump yesterday morning. Read about it on the official site!

FOOTBALL

We started a new feature this week. One we should have been doing for a while. Emily is covering players and plays of the game for us every week, as we get the staff to chime in on their particular thoughts, as well.

The rankings for The Sterritt Score are out! They're really actually mirroring a lot of the poll rankings and many of the CFB Playoff teams are close in ranking there and here, too.

The semi-finalists for watch lists are coming out, now, and Auburn only has one player of note that I've seen so far. That's, of course, #Legatron himself.

Rhett Lashlee hopes the young guys are "growing up." I do, too. Many of them have seen a lot of action so far this season, and they're not exactly newbies.

ESPN has a video segment on "The good, the bad, and the ugly" for both Auburn and Texas A&M so far. This game has really changed the direction of both teams' seasons the last two years. Can it do so again this year?

New commit John Franklin, III idolizes Cam Newton and Nick Marshall according to FoxSports. He definitely wants to follow in their footsteps. We'll see where he ends up on the field for us next fall.
