News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

FOOTBALL

The Philadelphia Eagles fired Chip Kelly as their head coach last night. If Auburn loses today, could the Tigers do something crazy and go after Kelly?

It's the last AUperations Order of the year, as I give my military style preview of Auburn football games. Those never generated a ton of hits, so I don't know if I'm going to continue them next year. It was fun to do, though, so maybe I'll see if I can make them more interesting and incorporate some of the others to do more detailed information.

Want to know how to watch the Birmingham Bowl this afternoon? Here's the information you need (along with a preview) for the game. Also, here's information you need to know for Legion Field. It's probably too late for you if you're reading this right now and planning on being at the game, but hey, it's been on the site since last night!

Gus, Kris Frost, and Peyton Barber met with the media about the Birmingham Bowl, yesterday. Here's some video of the press conference from the official site.

Unsurprising to anyone, we're not going to know who will start the game for Auburn today until just before the game.

Here's three reasons to watch the Birmingham Bowl from the folks at ESPN.

We had our post on Auburn moments at Legion Field, and AL.com has their "10 Best Auburn Wins" at the Old Grey Lady, too.

ESPN says the return to Legion Field is cause for "nostalgia" among some Auburn fans. If by "nostalgia" you mean "disgusted we're having to play in that dump again," then yeah, sure.
