The official word now is to accommodate Ole Miss and Cal playing in 2017/19. It does set up with Auburn having open slots for a P5 team in 2018/19, though. My previous thoughts on the Auburn vs Georgia Tech series centered around Auburn and Tech only really being able to fit a one-off neutral site game in for 2018. This would change that situation and could allow Auburn to better manipulate the schedule in their favor to avoid a season like 2014.
