BASKETBALL
We'll be finishing up a lot of basketball stuff over the next few days, and it will begin transitioning out of the top spot. For now, Blake has some TAKES for you regarding hoops, and if you missed it yesterday, KT Harrell was named 2nd Team All-SEC by the media.
Bruce Pearl spoke in Birmingham yesterday, and the Cinmeon Bowers suspension was brought up. According to Coach Pearl, whatever Bowers may or may not have done won't jeopardize the Tigers' run through the SEC Tournament. I've seen message board rumors out there on what the situation may be, and if those are true, then it's a simple matter that's easily fixed. IF those rumors are true.
BASEBALL
The Tigers are in Birmingham this evening to play UAB at 6:30pm CDT. They're trying to end a 4 game skid that includes getting swept in their first SEC series.
SOFTBALL
I brought up Softball's series with Ole Miss yesterday in my Auburn Sports Update, but they finished off the sweep of Ole Miss in their first SEC series of the season, so I wanted to make sure to give them a mention here, too. They knocked three more long-balls out of the park, bringing their season total up to 64.
FOOTBALL
Want to get some football warm and fuzzies? Duke Williams is planning big things with Jeremy Johnson. If you go back and watch the first half of the Arkansas game from last season you can see just how potent that combination can be.
The Montgomery Advertiser previewed the TEs and WRs for the spring. We brought it up yesterday, but the TE spot is extremely thin at the moment. It will get a boost in the fall, though.
The Ledger-Enquirer talks about the cross-training of various players on the defensive line to play both end and tackle. I read numerous opinions prior to spring practice that Elijah Daniel was someone who could potentially move inside. It's unsurprising that they're considering this move with some, as the depth at defensive tackle for the upcoming season isn't exactly thick.
The Tigers will take the field again today for their fourth practice of the spring. They'll practice again on Thursday before taking a week off for Spring Break.
