Softball. I had this in this morning's link dump, but it deserves to be in here twice. The ladies completed the weekend sweep with their absolute destruction of the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks. The Hawgs never made it past the fifth inning against the Tigers thanks to walk off hits in the bottom of the fifth on both Friday and Saturday nights, and then Auburn taking an 8 run lead into the top of the fifth on Sunday afternoon before closing the series out. The Tigers won 9-1 on Friday night, 10-1 on Saturday, and finally 10-2 on Sunday. The Tigers also honored their three seniors on Sunday afternoon following the game.
The Tigers are only a half game behind Florida for the SEC's regular season title. They have one more series - against a very tough LSU squad - before the SEC Tournament begins the next week.
Men's Tennis. Lukas Ollert was named first team All-SEC last week. The men are awaiting the NCAA 1st / 2nd Round from 8-10 May. The Selection show will be at 5:30pm this Tuesday at NCAA.com.
Track and Field. Senior Ty McCormack took home the title in the men's 10,000m last Thursday at the Penn Relays. The Tigers ended up with four Top Five performances in the final day's competition. At the Triton Invitational, Justin Carter finished 5th in the Javelin throw and Jake Knight was 9th in the Open Shot Put. Rachel Dincoff finished 5th in the Open Discus Throw, Alyssa Kopp was 8th in the Invitational Javelin Throw.
Volleyball. Volleyball completed its spring season this weekend, but I haven't been able to find results on how everything went.
