BASEBALL
Robby Clements was dealin' some serious cheese on Wednesday night in his seven innings of scoreless pitching. The Tigers took the Star Wars Night mid-week game against Kennesaw State 6-0. It raised their winning streak to six games. During that stretch, Auburn's pitchers have a 0.83 ERA. Anfernee Grier had his 20th double of the season. Auburn is definitely riding some momentum into the weekend series against South Carolina.
Sophomore pitcher Keegan Thompson won't pitch again this weekend against South Carolina. He's still being rested from the tendinitis issue he's dealt with the past two weeks. Hopefully he gets better soon, but I don't want him on the mound again until he's 100%. We don't need to ruin a kid with that much talent.
BASKETBALL
Sophomore Forward Alex Thompson has left the team and will be transferring. We wish him the best wherever he ends up. That leaves Auburn one under the scholarship limit. I'm fairly certain that spot will be filled fairly soon.
FOOTBALL
In "this really sucks" news, Elijah Daniel was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges. I think it's safe to say he's done as an Auburn Tiger. Such a shame.
Redshirt Freshmen Andrew Williams has been putting in some work over the last year to be prepared for his first campaign on the field as an Auburn Tiger. According to the Ledger-Enquirer, Muschamp has been impressed with Williams, but his position coach Rodney Garner says he still has some areas to improve in. We need him to step up now more than ever.
Incoming defensive end Prince Tega Wanogho, Jr talked about his injury and what led him to Auburn. I highly recommend you check out that article.
AL.com has two articles about Auburn's defensive backs up. The first is about height no longer being a key component of the safeties the Tigers recruit and the second one being about cornerbacks and the need for ball skills.
