Auburn Spring Practice 2015: Day 8, Gus Malzahn Press Conference Tweet-cap

The Tigers hit the field for their first scrimmage of the spring. Gus Malzahn met with media, afterwards. All credit to the beat writers.

I would be shocked if either of these two participate in A-Day, as much as the fans would love to see big #55 out there wrecking fools.

Huh. Now that's intriguing. Wanting to get him a good introduction to the college game, I guess?

There's a bit more information in the beat writers' full breakdowns of the scrimmage. You can check out a few of the other details in the link to AL.com (which is the only one I currently see up right now). You can also watch video of him discussing it, here.

Interesting note at the bottom of that link. There was talk of whether Muschamp being involved with anything during the bowl game may have violated the "9 assistants" rules. With Ellis Johnson already gone, weren't the Tigers down an assistant, anyway? Although I guess maybe they count defensive GA Travis Williams, who was coaching the linebackers, as the 9th in this case.

Fun bit from Josh Holsey's time with the press:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>. <a href="https://twitter.com/HeyItsJholsey">@HeyItsJholsey</a> said <a href="https://twitter.com/Trew30_">@Trew30_</a> had biggest hit today in scrimmage: &quot;He came in with real bad intentions and I heard it echo.&quot;</p>&mdash; Brandon Marcello (@bmarcello) <a href="https://twitter.com/bmarcello/status/584418185321046016">April 4, 2015</a></blockquote>

Apparently Tre Williams hit someone rather hard.
