BASEBALL
Auburn is in the "Last 5 In" category according to D1Baseball.com for an NCAA Regional. That is definitely not where we want to be. It's going to take a good showing against Florida beginning this afternoon in Gainesville or a big SEC Tournament run for the Tigers to extend their season past Hoover.
The SB Nation SEC site Team Speed Kills analyzed every SEC series for the weekend and how it affects the conference tournament and NCAA Regionals berths. It also gives you handy information on how, where, and when to watch them all.
SOFTBALL
The official site profiled one of the heroes of Saturday night's SEC Tournament Championship Game: freshman catcher Carlee Wallace. Wallace is from California and a perfect example of the effect Clint Myers has on Auburn softball's recruiting merely by being here as coach.
BASKETBALL
Bruce Pearl used to be a fan of Avery Johnson's. He's not, anymore. I really look forward to seeing how that rivalry develops under Pearl and Johnson. Hopefully it's heavily in Pearl's favor.
Coach Pearl and UAB coach Jerod Haase spoke about the upcoming Auburn vs UAB series in basketball. It kicks off as the kick-off game to the 2015/16 season on November 13th.
We still don't know the complete story behind Cinmeon Bowers being held out of the SEC Tournament game against Kentucky and the subsequent investigation, but we do know the investigation is over and there will be no further penalty past him sitting for that game. Bowers is good to go for the 2015/16 season.
FOOTBALL
I took a look at Auburn's schedules for the next three years and tried to see if I could find any pattern in the Tigers' plans in order to discern what we can expect going forward.
I went back and edited yesterday's link dump with WarRoomEagle's article on "knockouts" in college football, but I want reheat it here again to make sure everyone saw it!
You can check out video of Auburn's new locker rooms online, now. These are the locker rooms at the football facility that they use daily for practice, etc. Not the locker rooms in the stadium itself.
ESPN's Greg Ostendorf discusses the offensive line as a big strength for Auburn in 2015. I think the line definitely can be a strength going forward, but it's hard to know for sure right now when we don't know who the Center is just yet and whether it's 100% certain Kozan will be back in the line-up.
The Montgomery Advertiser is now on the Flanker receiver in its depth chart reviews.
Sam Khan, Jr for ESPN says that Will Muschamp returning to Auburn as defensive coordinator was a large part of what led Byron Cowart to Auburn. I don't think any of us treat that as a revelation.
Speaking of Byron Cowart, ESPN.com's Wesley Sinor sat down with him for a two-part interview. You can read Part 1 here and Part 2 here. Looks like Cowart has some lofty goals for himself. I certainly hope he reaches them!
