Angelo Blackson Taken by the Tennessee Titans in Round 4

Angelo Blackson - already a BIG man - is now a TITAN

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

In a somewhat shocking move - as many projected Gabe Wright ahead of him - Angelo Blackson is the second Auburn Tiger to be taken and the first player chosen of Day Three.

Angelo Blackson was picked up by the Tennessee Titans with the very first pick of Day Three, Round Four. He is joined by Marcus Mariota, the #2 pick of the draft, Dorial Green-Beckham in Round 2, and OG Jeremiah Poutasi in Round 3.

I really did not expect Blackson to go this early. He had a quiet career at Auburn, but he was always a stalwart on the defensive line. Never flashy, but always consistent. He was an excellent run-stopper and will fill the center gaps for the Titans. He wasn't the greatest pass rusher, but his Combine and Pro Day performance really caught scouts' eyes.

The Tennessee Titans need a new big man to help in the middle of the defensive line, and they've picked up a good one. The Titans have four other DL listed on their current roster, so Blackson should have a chance to get into the playing rotation early. We with him all the best in Tennessee. Go get 'em big Angelo!
