Sorry for the lateness on this one, folks. My personal computer at home was being very slow for some strange reason, so I came in to work a bit early to finish this up. Then I decided that the baseball "How to Watch/Preview" was more important to go up first. So, you get mid-morning links!
There's not much to put, really. When baseball and softball wrap up, we may go to a temporary "commentary on one story/day" morning article for a month or so just as a break before Media Days and the frenzy of football.
BASEBALL
For about half the game it looked like the Tigers might pull out the victory over #1 LSU. Then the bottom dropped out in the bottom of the 5th, LSU took the lead, and no one else scored for the remainder of the game. But hey, this happened.
Auburn now faces Florida 30 minutes following the completion of the 9:30am game between Alabama and Missouri.
SOFTBALL
The official site has their preview for the Super Regional up, now. AuburnUndercover has a pretty good one, as well.
FOOTBALL
SB Nation's Bill Connelly projected College Football rankings based on a few advanced stats figures. It's an interesting approach to picking a pre-season Top 25 and will probably bear some resemblance to the actual pre-season Top 25s. I doubt those will have Florida State as low as 17th, though.
Alex Kozan is ready to rock and roll after missing all of 2014 with a back injury. He finished 2013 as a Freshman All-American, and wants to continue the path he was on before that little injury hiccup. Having a healthy Kozan back on the line will be big for Auburn.
Nose Tackle is the position of discussion for the Montgomery Advertiser, today.
ESPN.com asks which SEC Coordinators may be head coaches in 2016. They both like an Auburn coordinator to move on to a head coaching job. If Georgia Southern has an opening following 2015, I know just the job I'd like him to take, too.
