There will still be some things up on the site, today, but for the most part it's going to be pretty slim. We'll have something on the baseball Selection Show, and any other big news.
For the most part though, the site will be pretty quiet. Today is Memorial Day. A day in which we honor those who died in service to this great nation. Almost every Soldier, Sailor, Airman, and Marine serving today knows of a friend or comrade in arms who paid that sacrifice and has a special day of remembrance of their own. I've written about mine, before. But today is the day we as a nation celebrate them all.
You may see folks act a bit cynically today about all of the parties, cookouts, etc., and say this should be a more somber day. I say otherwise. Today is a day we celebrate that such great men and women lived and fought for us. It's even more amazing today in the age of the All Volunteer Force. Everyone who serves now does so by their own choice.
So celebrate. Enjoy life in a nation that recognizes that men have certain inalienable rights. That among those are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So enjoy those freedoms today in honor of all those who gave their lives to uphold that ideal.
