News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

It wasn't the greatest of days for Blayne Barber, but hey, it was better than Tiger Woods' performance! Barber finished at +8. Meanwhile, Jason Dufner finished at -2 and is only three shots off the lead. Go get 'em, Duf!

WarRoomEagle decided to take a look at just how fast #AuburnFast is. His determination? Not as fast as you might think.

The Tigers picked up their 9th commitment of the 2016 class yesterday morning in defensive end Daquan Newkirk. That article has been updated since yesterday, since he now has some initial ratings by the recruiting services.

Auburn's first three games of the 2015 season will be during the heat of the day. Thankfully one of them is in a dome, and the other is an away game, so we the fans will only have to suffer through the Jacksonville State game as an 11am kickoff on the SEC Network.

Auburn needs depth at the defensive end slot so that the starters can rest and quality not drop off too much. Raashed Kennion is wanting to be one of those players. He drew a lot of discussion last season, but never saw the field too much. I'm pretty sure it was because he needed to bulk up a bit more, so hopefully he's ready to go this year.

The VIP 25 is back on an Auburn player with #17. A junior defensive tackle who we all expect to do big things this season.

Continuing Brandon Marcello's talk with Phil Steele, he goes into more detail about Auburn's national title chances and how good Will Muschamp is. asks who is better, Auburn or Alabama? They also take a look at the recruiting trends of all of the SEC West schools over the past decade.
