SOFTBALL
Yes, I posted this yesterday. However, I really liked it and felt like reheating it again, so here's my season review of Auburn softball.
GOLF
Five Auburn golfers were named to the NCAA All-Southeast Region Team. That was tied with only a few other schools for the most golfers named to an All-Region team.
VOLLEYBALL
The 2015 schedule was released. You can check it out here!
FOOTBALL
Auburn had some bad news yesterday when one of the defensive commits decided to open his recruitment back up. He still says Auburn is his #1 school, though.
There were a lot of Tigers named to Phil Steele's All-SEC and All-American Preseason teams. You can check out just who here.
Ever wonder how coaches take it when a recruit decommits? James Crepea talked with defensive line coach Rodney Garner about exactly that.
Auburn needs a #2 WR behind Duke Williams to step up this fall. They're still hoping to see Tony Stevens step up and take over the Sammie Coates role. He has work to do to get there, though.
You know those massive renovations to Jordan-Hare Stadium's north endzone that have been discussed that we talked about a few months ago? Ones that the school sent out information on requesting comments, etc? Well, they're scrapped. It's back to the drawing board! A lot of money was spent on the study and the plans. Jay Jacobs wasn't happy with it. I can't help but wonder how much more money will be sunk into it before any renovations are actually made.
Mark Schlabach has some weird article on ESPN.com about which teams were overvalued and undervalued in the way-too-early Top 25 based on the odds-making site 5Dimes' win projections. It's as classic an example of "offseason fluff piece because I have nothing else to write about" as I can think of.
The Sporting News has a feature on 5* duds over the past ten years. There's an Auburn player on there. It's not one you really even remember very often; probably because he was a bit of a dud. But when he was on? Man, he was quite the little ball of hate.
Speaking of The Sporting News, they've included Duke Williams in their list of Top 25 wide receivers in college football. There's an Auburn player in their Top 25 Front Seven, as well. I'm sure that person is a bit obvious, too.
