News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

GYMNASTICS

Do you think the crowds Auburn Gymnastics brought in during their run to the Super Six in 2015 didn't mean much? You'd be wrong. Head coach Jeff Graba says they've really been selling that and the excitement around the program to recruits. So make sure you make it out to the gymnastics matches in 2016!

BASKETBALL

The official site has a feature from Bruce Pearl that is a mid-summer preview of what we can expect to see from the 2015-16 version of the Tigers Basketball team.

FOOTBALL

Auburn is ranked 18th in ESPN's pre-season Football Power Index. So. That's something. They have a reason for it, though, and I explain why you shouldn't be concerned with that here.

One of the biggest keys for Auburn in 2015 will be the return of a few injured players, but the Tigers aren't the only team looking to a rebound from injuries.

In opponent previews, the Montgomery Advertiser is continuing their 12 in 12 days series, with the Jacksonville State game. AL.com is a few games ahead and already on to Mississippi State.

In new Auburn signee news, AL.com details where OL Mike Horton may end up on the line. All of the offensive linemen that Auburn signed in 2015 are versatile in their positions. The Tigers will likely add a few more offensive linemen to the mix in this next recruiting class.

Prince Tega Wanogho, Jr's story may be one of the more interesting in college football over the next few years. Only a year playing high school football. Extremely raw, but talented. Breaks his leg playing basketball (likely going to redshirt beforehand, anyway). How he comes back from that injury and how high his ceiling in when he does come back will be fascinating to watch.

As so many others do, Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson thinks Gus Malzahn is a genius. He explains his reasons for that to the media, here.

ESPN and plenty of others think Gus Malzahn has been complaining, along with other SEC coaches, lately.

The Sporting News lists their Top 25 Front Seven players on defense going into 2015. I bet you can't guess which Auburn Tiger made that list.
