SOCCER
Auburn keeper Sarah Le Beau was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week. That's due to her shut-out performances out in California over the weekend against UC-Irvine and Long Beach State University. She's a redshirt freshman, too, so hopefully Auburn is going to be excellent in goal for a while.
BASKETBALL
There's a video on "Foundation" on the official site. You should check it out!
FOOTBALL
The position previews are up to the wide receivers. There are very few questions about that unit this season, but the questions we have can turn out to be very important ones depending on how the season goes.
Do you like Auburn hype videos? Then chances are you've heard of A96 Productions. He's done some of the very best out there over the last few years. He put together a pretty good one for Auburn to start the season.
Will Muschamp and Rhett Lashlee have been saying things Auburn fans really want to hear about Jeremy Johnson and Carl Lawson. Let's just hope the rest of the offensive and defense are going to click along because of it.
Auburn is going to begin preparing for Louisville tomorrow according to the article linked above. The defense will be preparing for different looks from the different possible quarterbacks Louisville could start. If there's one real worrying factor about that game, it's the different offensive looks Auburn may have to face.
ESPN's Edward Aschoff released a preseason All-SEC team. There's one Tiger on the list. Yes, it's exactly who you think it is.
SOWEGALive (South West Georgia Live?) had Auburn as 9th in their preseason poll and gave their thoughts on the Tigers.
How far has the "Auburn should claim more championships resolution" story spread? Well, apparently they're talking about it in the LA Times. It's a bit behind (or just wanting to sound funny) since it mentions the resolution "will be considered by the Saban Committee before being sent to the open floor for a big laugh." The resolution is already dead.
Soooo... the Florida State running back on trial for battery (he was acquitted late last evening)? There was a mention of Auburn during the trial. Well alright. Looks like even here at College and Magnolia we can't avoid TALKIN' 'BOUT THE NOLES.
SEC Schools will honor former commissioner Mike Slive with a Prostate Cancer Awareness day, this season. Auburn will be taking part in two of them back-to-back with their games at LSU and then host their game against Mississippi State on 26 September.
