The old name for the morning link dumps back before last season was "Link sAUsage." Zeke started doing these last fall and called it "Coffee and Magnolia" and I just kinda kept the name from then on. However, with the start of the first game week for the 2015 football season, I decided to bring the old name back. Let's get some of that old magic going. War Eagle!
SOCCER
The Tigers continued their undefeated ways over the weekend. Four wins on the season, four clean sheets for the Tigers. You can watch some highlights for the Furman game, here.
VOLLEYBALL
The Volleyball team also opened the season undefeated, taking the War Eagle Invitational. Auburn's sports teams are currently undefeated for the 2015/16 school year!
FOOTBALL
There've been quite a few things going on in recent days. Going all the way back to Friday, we've got Emily's profile of Auburn QB Jeremy Johnson, who is on the watch list for a few post-season awards.
Along those same lines, we finished up the position previews over the weekend with the running backs on Saturday and the quarterbacks on Sunday.
Rhett Lashlee says Auburn is going to need all four of its running backs to contribute as they go for a "committee" approach to the position. Y'all know what I think about that. I'm not going to bore you with it again.
Defensive Coordinator Will Muschamp met with the media last night following practice. He had some good nuggets on starters and on the freshman we're likely to see play against Louisville. I can't wait to see Byron Cowart on that defensive line.
Auburn linebacker Deshaun Davis wrote, rapped, and produced his own hype video for the Tigers' 2015 season. It's pretty awesome and you should definitely check it out.
Bret Bielema finally openly admitted his hatred for Auburn at one of those kickoff dinner type things Friday night. I still feel like some of that is just posturing, and there's some other good opinions in the comments section if you scroll down and read those.
Auburn's defense has great chemistry right now according to an article on the official site. The hair cuts by the defensive backs is one thing that proves that. This defense could be very fun if they start clicking together and really play up to the level of their talent.
