Auburn 2015 Preseason Practice #2: Gus Malzahn Press Conference and Recap

The Tigers hit the field for Day 2 of preseason practice. See what the beat writers and coaches have to say about it.

Wade Rackley - Auburn Athletics

Practice Observations:

-As with yesterday, observations are taken from Twitter and from various beat writers reports.

-For full write-ups, see AL.com and AuburnUndercover

-For video, check out AL.comAuburnUndercover, and Inside The Auburn Tigers.

And, as always, here's the official site write-up with pictures.

Of particular note, Tray Matthews was back out on the field and working with the first team. This should dispel any worries about his status after he missed practice, yesterday.

AL.com notes that Davonte Danzey was working with the first team offensive line at left-guard. He'll be trying to take that spot from Alex Kozan, who is returning from injury.

Montravius Adams was still working with the second team defensive line. I'm hoping this is cause for serious excitement about Dontavius Russell and not Adams just not giving the coaches what they think he's capable of, right now.

Tony Stevens was working with the first team receivers at times. With his size (6'4), if he can really take over Sammie Coates' role on the team, then the deep ball is going to become even more dangerous. Jonathan Wallace was on the sidelines for the first part of practice after being out with the first team some, yesterday.

And that's it for today from Gus Malzahn. Either he didn't have a lot to say, or the beat writers just didn't tweet too much of it out.
