2017 Safety Carlito Gonzalez Commits to Auburn

The Tigers pick up their fourth commitment for the 2017 cycle.

Student Sports

AuburnUndercover was the first to tweet the news that 2017 DB Carlito Gonzalez has committed to the Tigers. Gonzalez is unranked from 247Sports, but is a four-star according to Scout. He's a three-star in the 247Sports composite. Gonzalez is 6'2, 190 lbs, and is from Stone Mountain, GA. He claimed offers from South Carolina, Alabama, Clemson, and Kentucky, so you know he's the real deal.

The Highlights

I'm not in a place I can watch these at the moment, but here you go, anyway! Y'all check it out

The Class

Gonzalez joins Five-star OL Calvin Ashley, Four-star QB Lowell Narcisse, and Four-star ATH Alaric Williams in the 2017 class. That puts the Tigers at the #6 class overall and #2 in the SEC with these four commitments. I'm willing to bet he'll go up in the rankings, since he's currently unranked by 247Sports. He's a Three-star in their composite, and I'm pretty sure Scout has him ranked as a Four-star.

You really have to wonder if maybe this 2017 class will start getting some more things rolling on the 2016 class. As players start to realize the talent that will be on the Plains while they're in school, they'll start to see even more that this is a team that is setting itself up to be a powerhouse in the SEC for years to come.
