News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

HOME ON THE PLAINS

You've already missed last night's basketball game, but there's still other things going on in Auburn this week and weekend. Everett has all you need to know about all of what's going on!

STATE OF AUBURN?

Jay Jacobs met with donors and press last night for an outlining of the 2016 goals for Auburn Athletics. I've got a Tweet-cap of things that were said (complete with some of the usual snark). You can also find a good write up about it all at AuburnUndercover with this link.

For a little more on the renovations of Jordan-Hare, there's this from AL.com.

BASKETBALL

What did Bruce Pearl think about the court storming after the Kentucky game? He talked about it on the Finebaum show.

There was no court-storming after last night's game, but it still ended beautifully as Auburn took down Alabama in the first edition of Pearl vs Johnson. Fouls were found aplenty, and Auburn did exactly what we knew they needed to do in order to win. It's always nice to defeat the Tide and see the tears of the Bammers flow on Twitter. And I guess the Alabama player who said this was their state doesn't need to worry about the refutation that Bama doesn't and won't play UAB, now, since they lost this one.

FOOTBALL

With Peyton Barber headed to the draft, what does Auburn's running back situation look like for next season? AL.com takes an early look at the depth in a key position in Gus Malzahn's offense.

How did former Tigers fare in the divisional rounds of the NFL Playoffs? Here's your round up. There were some pretty good games out there, even with some only getting limited action.
