SWIMMING AND DIVING
The Auburn men, ranked #7 in the nation, took on the Florida Gators, ranked #3, and took them down for a big win for the Tigers as they approach the conference championships next month.
GYMNASTICS
Things didn't go quite the way Auburn wanted against #1 Florida in Auburn Arena Friday night. The support for the Gymnastics team was amazing, though, as Auburn Arena was sold out for the second time in team history.
BASKETBALL
For the men's basketball team, the weekend did not go well at all. Florida took a big early lead and never looked back. Auburn desperately needs to pick up a road win to gain some confidence in their ability to play away from Auburn Arena.
Things were a little better for the ladies, though. They took down Arkansas at home Sunday afternoon in an overtime game.
FOOTBALL
It's just idle speculation on my part right now, but with Southern Mississippi's head coaching job inexplicably coming open a week and a half before signing day, I wondered if the Golden Eagles might set their sights on Rhett Lashlee.
Ricardo Louis led the way in receiving yards at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this weekend. It was a good performance for Louis, who was quiet for much of the second half of Auburn's season.
Cam Newton played kinda well last night, did you hear? He did things like throw this 86 yard touchdown pass.
I'm going to try to have a recruiting update for you this afternoon. We'll see if I can get it done over lunch, today. Hopefully I can.
