BASEBALL
Auburn finished in the Top 20 in the nation for attendance at baseball games this past season. That's pretty good for a stadium that also offers ways fans can watch the games without purchasing a ticket.

Coach Bruce Pearl is one of 48 in the Infinity Coaches Charity Challenge. Go vote for him so that his charity is the one that wins and earns money!
Fresh off a defeat of Top 10 Kentucky, the ladies travelled to Starkville to take on #6/7 MSU. The Tigers dropped the game 60-45. If there's no link, it's because I went to bed before the recap was posted. It doesn't get any easier, either, as the Tigers go to Knoxville to face #11 Tennessee this weekend.
FOOTBALL
Yesterday was busy! Auburn hired two new coaches! Well, one new coach. The other is very familiar. First up was the new secondary coach, Wesley McGriff. Many have questioned this move, but the guy had a good reputation in college both as a coach and particularly as a recruiter. Then came the word that Travis Williams was promoted to full-time linebackers coach after two years of being the interim coach during bowl season.
Continuing the Season of Murphy, I spoke about the Quarterback problem at Auburn for 2015. This really is the primary problem. Sure, the defense struggled, but for the most part they still held opponents to low enough points totals that in 2014 Auburn would have won the games.
Is the Carl Lawson Effect really that big a deal? Did his being in the game really have that much of an impact? Well, yes, it did. To the tune of 50+ yards per game on average. This is one of the reasons Auburn fans should be ecstatic that Lawson is returning for 2016.
What were the WORST five plays for Auburn this season according to the Ledger-Enquirer? Yesterday were the five best, today are the five worst. Click if you want to relive some nightmares.
For the most part, the SEC fared well against other teams in P5 conferences, this season. Auburn was one of the teams that opened the festivities this year with its victory over Louisville.
Pat Miller signed a future/reserve contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Good luck to him as he continues trying to find his way onto an NFL roster.
He's been a semifinalist or a finalist almost every season for the last 10 years it seems, but Kevin Greene is once again a finalist for the NFL Hall of Fame. The fact that he's 3rd on the all-time sack list, among other things, makes it insane that he's not already in the Hall. Hopefully he gets in this time!
