We're back online! I have internet out in Texas, now, so hopefully we'll be back in business with regularly scheduled posts. There may be a bit more interrupting will I get settled in the new position, but hopefully not.
BASKETBALL
The Bruce Pearl Effect is on display again, as the Tigers have sold out basketball season tickets for the 3rd season in a row.
SOCCER
The ladies tied a program record with their 9th SEC win of the season last night with a 3-1 win over Tennessee.
FOOTBALL
So, we're comparing Pettway to Jerome Bettis, huh? Well, it would be too derivative to call him "The Bus," so what do we call him? Tiger Transit?
Lashlee was being very realistic the other night in saying that reproducing last Saturday's numbers will be much tougher against Ole Miss. The Rebel's run defense is worse than Arkansas', true, but that game was an extreme rarity in college football in general and the SEC in particular.
What we suspected (given that Dampeer played last week with the 2nd string) has been confirmed. The offensive line of James, Kozan, Golson, Smith, and Leff is what the Tigers will roll with. With good reason. It's worked.
Gus Malzahn highlighted the wide receivers' blocking during Tiger Talk, and it's quite obvious that it's been an improvement. It's something that, under Kodi Burns, they're taking more pride in. That's understandable. Kodi wasn't the greatest pass catcher, but he put in a ton of effort to learn the nuances of the wide receiver position in Gus Malzahn's offense, and it paid off for him. Now, he's making sure his players learn the same things.
In "that's hilarious," we have these two links: Shot and Chaser.
Pitt may have just given Auburn an idea, last night. Coach Hand was paying attention, too.
