News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

First, Happy Veteran's Day to all of my fellow Veterans out there. No matter what happens in this nation, it's always an honor to put on my nation's uniform and serve to keep it free.

BASEBALL

Auburn's 2017 baseball signing class is complete. One of the pros to hiring Butch Thompson was his recruiting prowess. He proved that to be the case with one of the top college baseball signing classes in the nation.

BASKETBALL

After a year of waiting, Danjel Purifoy is ready to hit the court for the Auburn Tigers for real. Bruce Pearl's 3rd team is liable to be very young in the starting line-up, and they're looking to shock the basketball world. Could another youngster join the team in January? Bruce Pearl isn't saying.

FOOTBALL

This week's History Repeating takes on a very steep ascent. A bit steeper even than Auburn's climb from 1-2 to the current 7-2 record.

Need to know what to watch this weekend? We've got your weekly TV Guide! Don't worry about any football tonight. There's only one game, and Auburn Basketball is more important!

We don't know if he's going to play, but we do know that Kamryn Pettway is at least traveling to Athens. What's the situation with him? Who knows? Rhett said he's practiced. Gus said that he hasn't. Again, never trust anyone on this staff when it comes to injuries.

While we'll miss Kamryn if he can't play, don't forget that if Kerryon Johnson stayed healthy, he'd likely be over 1,000 yards, too. KJ led the SEC in broken tackles before his injury. If he's healthy, then Auburn's rushing attack may look a bit different, but it should still be just fine.

Montravius Adams has a great story. He's come a long way and it's great to see him finally living up to the potential recruiting gurus saw in him when he was rated as a five star.
