Auburn was hampered by injuries and some of the worst play-calling since the Clemson game tonight as they fell 7-13 to UGA.
The worst part about this game is that the defense played well enough to win. They only allowed 6 points. UGA's only touchdown came on a pick-6 on the first drive of the 2nd half. The two field goals came in the 2nd half as well, but that's when the defense was worn down and couldn't do much of anything.
Auburn's offense looked absolutely inept, tonight. The coaches must have absolutely zero confidence in John Franklin III because Sean White was obviously not himself for much of the game. He wasn't helped out by his receivers, either. At least three first downs were dropped by wide receivers. They weren't always the best passes, but they absolutely should have been caught.
It's so disgusting to have this happen every year against UGA. I don't know what it is that when Auburn comes into this game in the last decade, they've failed to do anything. It doesn't help that the Tigers had Pettway out, White banged up, Truitt out since the 1st quarter, and Chandler Cox hurt early in the 4th, but the decision to keep throwing the ball when White was obviously hurt (he was treated on the sidelines at times and JFIII was even warming up) is mind boggling.
With that loss goes any hope of the Tigers making it to Atlanta. The best they have to play for is pride and the upset. They'll have to do it in Tuscaloosa, too.
