Hey, you know those injuries the offense is dealing with? The situation is even worse (or, maybe, better) than you think.
Pettway, Truitt, and Cox will definitely sit out at least this weekend's game. We don't know about Sean White, yet. Marcus Davis is out for the regular season with a shoulder issue. That's bad. It's so bad that Rudy Ford is getting work at running back and Malik Miller is definitely going to be back practicing. I still think he'll redshirt, but if Pettway can't go against Bama, then it wouldn't shock me if he plays.
Is it bad that I think we'll miss Marcus Davis most at punt returner (for catching the ball), but not necessarily as a WR? He hasn't been great this season. I know he had an injury early in the year, and now he's hurt again. Maybe this will give one or two of the freshman another chance to step up and show themselves ready for a big part of the game plan.
On the Sean White situation, I don't know quite what to think. I definitely think the coaches should have had a conversation with him and made a change, but that's easy to say sitting on the couch watching the game. Yes, it was never more than a one-score game, but still.
I hate the coach-speak, though. I don't think there's a chance in hell that Sean White plays this weekend. There are zero reasons for him to play. I wish we'd just say that and move on.
Now to the Tweets!
