If there's one thing Auburn fans love to gripe about, it's scheduling the same teams (looking at you, Clemson) over and over again for non-conference games.
Well, that's changing, now. Auburn finally has its 2018 non-conference opponent, and it's one the Tigers have never faced before in the Washington Huskies. The two will meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta as part of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game.

This is an excellent move from a PR standpoint for Auburn. The Huskies are currently ranked 5th in the College Football Playoff, and it's rare the Tigers play a PAC12 opponent. Now, Auburn will face two in a row with the 2018 game against Washington in Atlanta and the 2019 game against Oregon in Dallas.
I know I'll be looking forward to this one. Though, if Auburn continues the normal trend of needing a few games to get warmed up for the season and Washington continues playing as they are right now, it could make for a very interesting game. Let's hope that's not the case.
War Eagle!
