BASKETBALL

The ladies played Savannah State yesterday at home, and the game was a bit of a blowout for the good Tigers, as they won 75-46.

The men's team is in New York for tonight's game at Madison Square Garden. They were able to do some sight-seeing beforehand, including going to the 9/11 Memorial.

FOOTBALL

So, did anything important happen over the weekend? Oh, we got a commitment, huh? Just a run-of-the-mill thing to pick up a former 5* dual threat QB. I couldn't let things go with just the commitment article, though. I had more thoughts on what Stidham's choice means for Auburn's QB situation over the next few months and into next season.

Jarrett Stidham's commitment wasn't the only big news for Auburn's 2017 offense. Kamryn Pettway announced that he would not be heading to the NFL Draft and will return in 2017.

Some of Auburn's commits - particular the linebackers - shined at the Alabama/Mississippi high school all-star game. That's good news for the Tigers, who have missed out on big linebacker commits over the last few seasons. Things could be changing in that regard and Travis Williams is going to get some new toys to play with.

Other than all that, there's really not near as much to report on from this weekend in terms of links. We'll have basketball stories for you today and maybe even some more recruiting news. We'll see!
