CAM NEWTON

Cam has no shortage of haters in the world, that's for certain. It's impossible to argue that for all folks may not like his attitude on the field at times, off the field he does so many amazing things. This is only the most recent one:

That young boy's father served in Iraq with a good friend of mine and fellow former Auburn Army ROTC Cadre. Please keep them all in your prayers.

BASKETBALL

The ladies close out their non-conference slate today against Jacksonville at Auburn Arena. The game will take place at 6 pm Central. Coach Flo's Tigers are at 9-4 on the season, so far.

FOOTBALL

Auburn is now in New Orleans and they're beginning the game week activities. Gus had a good bit to say about the status of players on the team and a whole host of other things. He really said a lot for a five-minute press conference. Check out the recap and video, here.

Rhett Lashlee could possibly be a target for the UConn job. Why you ask? Because UConn's AD worked at Auburn as an Associate AD for a few years until taking the job up there, so he's familiar with Rhett. It would be a strange move, though, since Rhett has never coached or recruited in the northeast.
