New, comments

News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

Well, what we've known was likely to happen for the last few weeks happened. Daniel Carlson came up short in the Groza Award voting as Arizona State's Zane Gonzalez had a ridiculous season. 9 out of 10 years, Daniel's year would have been enough. This was that 10th.

I'm never above taking great ideas from other sites and stealing them for us. So, I borrowed from Crimson and Cream Machine's "Get to Know" post on us and turned it around to do a post about them! If you didn't already know about the Sooners, now you do!

Speaking of awards, Oklahoma's Dede Westbrook came away with the Biletnikoff last night given to the nation's best wide receiver. So, that's... yeah. That's going to be fun for the Tigers' DBs.

Baker Mayfield had some good comments about Auburn's defensive line. He knows he's going to be facing one of the best defensive fronts he's played all season, and it's going to be a tough game.

Post-season accolades continue to rack up for a number of Tigers as the AP's All-SEC Team was announced. Seven Tigers are on the list. Meanwhile, Marlon Davidson and Javaris Davis made it to the All-Freshman SEC team.

Could Pettway turn pro? It'll be a tough decision for him. For what it's worth, I don't think he will. He only has about 7 games under his belt as a running back.
