News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

HOME ON THE PLAINS

There's a lot going on in Auburn this weekend. A lot. Everett has you covered for it all, complete with ticket and promotional information.

BASEBALL

After Tuesday's rainout, Wednesday's game went off with out a hitch. There were some light sprinkles, but otherwise no issues. The Tigers' bats were hot, particularly Niko Buentello's again, in the 11-2 victory.

BASKETBALL

The last home game for the ladies is tonight. There are a few promotions for this one, including a police/military appreciation night, so you get in free with a uniform of military ID!

The men dominated the first half, struggled in the second half, but ultimately pulled out the win over UGA 84-81 thanks to career nights from T.J. Lang and Jordon Granger.

FOOTBALL

So a high school baseball team from Milton, GA was in town touring Auburn's facilities, yesterday. I don't know the full story on why that was, but they were here. While in Jordan-Hare Stadium they decided to have a little bit of fun. Marvel at their attention to detail in recreating the Kick-Six!

Guess where Gimel President is transferring to as a grad transfer? Illinois. So we got T.J. Neal, and they got President. I liked President, thought he was picking up steam by the end of last season, but I really think Auburn got the best of this swap.

Peyton Barber is ready to prove the doubters wrong in the NFL Draft. His mom's situation was reportedly one of the main reasons he decided to enter the draft. His father later clarified that the original reports were taking things a bit out of context, but it's still great to see someone doing something like that for his parent.
