Well there's certainly a lot to talk about in Auburn sports over the weekend. Some of it - like baseball, softball, and the NFL Combine - I plan on putting in their own posts, if I can. I think I'm going to be incapacitated for a good bit of the day since it's apparently possible to throw your back out picking up the smallest dish you own out of the dishwasher. I was going to write those stories last night, but yeah, pain sucks. I doubt I'll be working today, so I'll have time to do it, then.
BASKETBALL
We've got two stories for you on basketball. Dr Z wrote our initial recap of the game and its horrendous referees. Tuco followed up with another story of his own on the game. That's primarily because I wasn't clear on who had the task of the recap and they both came through with great stories, and I didn't want to waste either one.
Unfortunately, the ladies dropped their final regular season game against Florida with a late fade. The Tigers will begin the SEC Tournament Thursday against Missouri in Jacksonville, FL.
EQUESTRIAN
The #1 Tigers were dominant in their performance against #9 South Carolina Saturday afternoon. They continued their winning ways as they're 8-1 overall, 4-1 in conference.
TRACK & FIELD
Senior Jessie Johnson qualified for the US Olympic Trials with her school record pole vault in the SEC Indoor Championships. That's pretty awesome.
FOOTBALL
Chris Laye - one of three tight ends who were on the Auburn roster - has decided to transfer from the program. That leaves Auburn with just sophomore Jalen Harris and early enrollee Landon Rice at the position.
The Tigers added another defensive assistant to the staff in graduate assistant from Purdue.
