BASEBALL
The bats needed to get hot after being quiet for the last few weeks, and boy did they. Auburn took the Oral Roberts series thanks to some big days at the plate Saturday and Sunday.
GYMNASTICS
The Tigers wrapped up the regular season with a dismantling of visiting Arizona State with a score of 197.75 - 193.275. This was the fifth straight 197+ score in a row, which is a great way to go into the SEC meet.
GOLF
The Tigers bounced back from finishing second place in their own tournament last weekend by winning the Seminole Intercollegiate. They did so with a -16 36 holes on Sunday to jump from 8th to first.
SOFTBALL
Things haven't gone so well for Softball, this weekend. The Tigers dropped the first game in a heart-breaking late finish Saturday evening. Sunday's game wasn't quite as close, but Auburn did manage to get a few home runs. They've still scored more in each game against the #1 Gators than any other team had so far this season. The series closes this evening at Jane B. Moore Field as the Tigers try to avoid the sweep.
TENNIS
Although the ladies managed a win this weekend against low-ranked Tennessee, they couldn't pull off the win against #3 Georgia, losing their first SEC match of the season.
FOOTBALL
Worried about Auburn's depth at linebacker? Well, if it makes you feel any better, Kevin Steele isn't quite as worried.
Dontavius Russell is becoming a leader on the defensive line, which is impressive for a redshirt sophomore. He had an impressive freshman campaign, and will be an anchor on the defensive line with Monty Adams and Devaroe Lawrence.
Sammie Coates didn't get a chance to do much in the NFL this past season, but that will be different in 2016, as one of the Steeler's top receivers is facing a one year suspension.
