BASEBALL

Well, that was fun. A lot of fun. It looks like the bats really did find something last weekend. Or at least they did in the 9 run 4th inning. Andrew Mitchell continues his good run as the mid-week starter, too. Auburn rocked the Yellow Jackets and won the game 14-3.

BASKETBALL

We're starting a multi-part series on the 2015-16 basketball season, and the first part was just a simple recap and examination of the season itself. What happened? Why did it happen? Things like that.

Tra'Cee Tanner was named Second Team All-SEC by the AP for the women's squad.

GYMNASTICS

Caitlin Atkinson was named the Co-Gymnast of the Week in the SEC. This was her second time earning that honor, this year. She's definitely someone Auburn will miss next year.

SOFTBALL

The Tigers may have dropped 2 of 3 against the #1 Gators, but they did not drop in the rankings. They remain in 3rd following Sunday's win and with the way they performed in the other games against the Gators.

The ladies are in Starkville this weekend, and Sunday's game time has changed to 11:30am.

FOOTBALL

ESPN is going through a "State of the Program" type deal for every SEC football team now that every team has begun their spring practice. For Auburn, they're saying the Tigers are trending down. I can see that given the yearly records, but I still think last year was an aberration. Van Allen Plexico said it best on Twitter, yesterday.

Who does ESPN think may be a breakout candidate this spring from Auburn? I'll give you a hint: he's a newcomer on campus this spring.

See what some former Illini have to say about incoming graduate transfer T.J. Neal. Auburn needs help at linebacker, and they're going to get some experienced help from Neal.
