News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

Zach Bland / Auburn Athletics

EQUESTRIAN

The SEC Championships this weekend, and of course #1 Auburn will be there. It's going to be held in Bishop, GA, at UGA's home complex

GYMNASTICS

Senior Caitlin Atkinson was named the SEC's Gymnast of the Year. That's a pretty outstanding honor. There may be an Auburn gymnast in the future who eclipses her, the program is on that type of trajectory, but right now I think it's safe to say she's the best that's been on the Plains.

SOFTBALL

Were you planning on going to any of the softball games this weekend? Well, be aware that due to the weather, Sunday's game has been moved and there is now a double-header on Saturday. Just how good has Auburn's offense been this season? Well, the Tigers are #1 in runs scored. In the country. That's pretty good.

TENNIS

After a bit of a stumble last week, the women's tennis team picked up a big win at home against #27 Mississippi State, yesterday.

FOOTBALL

WarRoom Eagle continued his "take something completely out of context and have fun with it" Zone Read Between the Lines from Tuesday's practice and Nick Ruffin's time with the press afterwards. It's hilarious, as always.

The Tigers were on the field for the 7th time - halfway to A-Day - of the Spring yesterday afternoon, and Rhett Lashlee met with the media for the first time this spring, afterwards. See a tweet-cap of what he had to say and some thoughts and comments on it all.

ESPN says better days are ahead for Byron Cowart. I certainly hope so, since last season wasn't exactly productive for him at all, and he was the #1 recruit according to a few services.
