News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

Wade Rackley / Auburn Athletics

It's April Fools Day. I have some thoughts on some things about that. Read through to the very end and have fun with it.

BASEBALL

Fresh off playing the #2 team in the nation and then the #18 team in the nation, Auburn will welcome the #14 team in the nation to the Plains this weekend in LSU. Auburn's pitching lineup was shaken up a bit for this weekend with Cole Lipscomb moved to Saturday and Sunday's starter to be determined. My money is on Gabe Klobosits.

BASKETBALL

Another non-conference match-up is set for the Tigers in the 2016-17 season. They're traveling to New York to face Boston College in Madison Square Garden. Christmas plans? Sounds like some to me!

TENNIS

The #14 Women's Tennis Team will be taking on #51 Alabama this weekend. It's the Iron... Court? Net? Ball? Either way, Beat Bama!!

FOOTBALL

Coach Crime Dog McGriff is bringing NFL knowledge to Auburn. Sure, the Saints' secondary wasn't the best last year, but he's still got NFL coaching knowledge. Oh, and a pretty good college track record on the field and in recruiting.

Prince Tega Wanogho Jr is very much still a work in progress. He's got a lot of physical ability, but he's only played a single full season of football, so there's a lot of work to be done. Plus he was limited with coming off injury during the 2015 season.
