A mostly dominant campaign came down to one stressful night in Ft. Worth, TX for Auburn's 2016 Equestrian team. The ladies lost one meet during the entire season - and had to face that team, Texas A&M, again this morning - on their way to locking up the 4th national title in school history.

Auburn finished 15-1 overall, 5-1 in SEC play, and were undefeated at home this season. They faced down South Carolina and Georgia in the SEC Championships to win the school's 4th SEC Championship. Then, this weekend, then went to Ft. Worth looking to claim the 4th National Title for Auburn. A dominant 15-1 victory over Kansas State Friday was followed by another fairly easy run against Texas A&M in a 10-6 victory for Auburn this morning. After that, only #6 TCU stood between the Tigers and the ultimate prize.

It definitely wasn't easy. TCU led the meet early on, but Auburn came roaring back to take a lead going into the final event. It came down to the wire and the final event in reining, but Auburn was able to come away with the 8-7 victory.

Auburn's previous three national titles under head coach Greg Williams were in 2006, 2011, and 2013.
