BASEBALL
Well, that sucked. Auburn was swept by Ole Miss this weekend. What makes it worse is that the Tigers had a 5-0 lead going into the 8th inning of Game 3, and still lost. At least there were some highlights, though, including this amazing Jackson Burgreen snag.
SOFTBALL
The Softball team kept things rolling in the SEC, sweeping yet another series. The Tigers have only lost three SEC games so far, dropping the first series of the year to Florida, taking 2 of 3 in Starkville from Mississippi State, and since then they haven't lost in conference play. They're in a very good place with the post-season just three weeks away.
TENNIS
The ladies made it into the semi-finals of the SEC Tournament and gave eventual champion Florida a decent run before falling 4-2. It's still been a record-setting year for the women's team.
FOOTBALL
You may have heard that Kenny Chesney was in town this weekend. He spent some time working out with Auburn football players, meeting head coach Gus Malzahn, and doing some other things.
I'm sure you've seen this by now, but here's a heart-warming story about former Tiger quarterback Cam Newton and how he jumped a fence to play football with some 7th graders. Cam is just such a horrible person, isn't he?
Unfortunately, the other Cam from Auburn for the Panthers was in the news last night for the wrong reasons, as he was arrested for driving his car way above the speed limit. I didn't have an article to link to in the feedly when I put this together last night and I wasn't going to go searching for one at the time, but I'm sure you've seen it by now.
