News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

APRIL 27th

There were a lot of stories yesterday on the 5th anniversary of the huge storm system that cut through Alabama killing over 200 people and destroying so many others' homes. Bo Jackson has been conducting his "Bo Bikes Bama" charity ever since, and he has raised around $1 million in total, so far, to continue to help those who were affected.

TENNIS

Four Tigers are on the All-SEC team for the women's squad, with one of them making the First Team.

FOOTBALL

Who is the leader on the offensive line? That would be Alex Kozan. While there has been discussion of shuffling some of the other players around - even Braden Smith - Kozan's position at Left Guard has been a constant.

We're on to the Wide Receivers in ESPN's post-spring position rankings. Auburn is way down the list in this one, which shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Kevin Steele spoke with an alumni group last night and talked to reporters about the progress of Auburn's defense. See what he had to say about the A-Day performance and other matters. Those other matters include things like just how significant (or not) rising sophomore Carlton Davis' injury that kept him out of A-Day is.

It's been quite the journey for Shon Coleman, as he's gone from cancer survivor to presenting a first round draft pick a few years back to waiting for his name to be called this year in the NFL Draft. He probably won't go in the first round, but his name will definitely be called this weekend.

The annual Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament pairings have been announced. Auburn's Gus Malzahn has been there with Bo Jackson every year that Gus has been Auburn's coach. You can see their "score cards" at the official site.
