Offensive Coordinator Rhett Lashlee talked a good bit about the Quarterbacks, tonight, as you would expect him to, in the final press conference before Saturday's A-Day game.
There're a lot of tweets to pull from, but Rhett really learned from the master at saying a whole lot without saying much at all. I do think it's interesting that the three quarterbacks will get about equal time Saturday. We don't know the format of A-Day, yet. We don't know if it'll be 1 vs 2s, 1 vs 1s, etc.
It's a bit disconcerting to hear that we don't have a go-to receiver, yet. You would hope Marcus Davis or Tony Stevens would step up for their senior year. Kyle Davis hasn't had a chance to compete in full drills, yet, since he's coming off an injury during his senior season of high school. We won't see him Saturday, either.
Rhett's statement that not everything last year was JJ's fault is true, to a certain extent. It wasn't the other 10 who threw passes directly to the other team's D, though. We'll see if he's really taken the step up to return to that first half vs Arkansas form. There were times where the QBs clearly weren't helped by the rest of the offense, though. That goes for both QBs.
Check out the tweets for more of what Lashlee had to say.
