2016 Women's College World Series Bracket

The Tigers are on the way to Oklahoma City.

Article is updated with the Bracket as games are played.

The road wasn't quite as smooth as Auburn would have liked, but the Tigers made it through the Regional and Super Regional rounds and are headed to Oklahoma City for the 2016 Women's College World Series.

When it comes to brackets, Auburn really has a good road. The Tigers have #8 Florida State, #12 UCLA, and #16 UGA in their bracket. The Tigers faced UGA and FSU during the season and came out of those five games with a 4-1 record. Purely based on seeding, the Tigers' path to the Championship Round is far easier than anyone in the lower bracket.

The lower bracket consists of #2 Michigan, #3 Oklahoma, #6 Alabama, and #10 LSU. Auburn played LSU and Alabama during the SEC Tournament and came away with victories.

The Women's College World Series is a double-elimination tournament. The brackets will play out just like the Regionals did, with the exception of the losers brackets flipping at one point. The winners of each double-elimination bracket will face off in a Best-of-Three Championship series.

The first games will be played this Thursday. Auburn is in Session #2, starting at 2:30pm Eastern, 1:30pm Central. You can see the full interactive bracket, here.
