If you follow Clint Richardson (@Clintau24) on Twitter, then you're already aware of the changes to the Arena floor that have happened over the last few days.
Auburn Arena's floor (and, really, the Arena itself) has been mostly orange since the Arena opened in 2010. I know there are folks who love the orange, but I've always been a bigger fan of Auburn's blue. With the seats and the floor orange, that was a lot of bright colors.
Now, things have changed. This week the floor was repainted with blue along the baselines and in the paint. There really wasn't much color on the floor before to begin with, but now it's heavily blue. When the fans are wearing orange, I really think that's something that will pop. That's true when the team wears the orange at home, as well.
See below for Clint's pictures of the transition.

The new Auburn Arena court design looks to be nearly finished. Looks fantastic in person. pic.twitter.com/p17WXWpV8t

Looks awfully similar to the old Beard Eaves design, albeit with no orange prominent areas. pic.twitter.com/1a0oJ9GcB7

The mock-up of the court is something that Clint does all the time. If you've never visited his site, then I highly recommend it. He has mock-ups of courts and fields throughout Auburn's history, along with uniforms, concepts, etc. He really does an excellent job with those aspects of Auburn history.
I really like this new design. I don't know that I ever thought of how bare the court looked around the baselines, previously, but you can really see that in Clint's pictures. I love the blue around the court.
Bruce Pearl's third team will hit the court for the first time in an exhibition on November 4th against Montevallo. You can see the full out-of-conference schedule here. Of course, if you want a sneak peak at the new floor before then, you can always go in and visit the museum in the Arena during football games or other times when the Arena Team Shop is open and give it a look.
So what do you think of this new design?
