News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

VOLLEYBALL

If there's one thing that's gotten a (well-deserved) big boost over the last few years, its the facilities for women's sports. That commitment to improving their homes on campus has also been translating into big wins. Check out the Volleyball team's new digs, here.

FOOTBALL

Fall Camp wrapped up, yesterday. Gus Malzahn met with the media after the morning practice and had some updates on injured players, the QB situation, and more.

Josh Dowdy returns with a look at some of the sights, sounds, stories, and objects signed at the 2016 Auburn Fan Day. There's no Running of the Gumps, here, as Auburn fans lined up to enter the indoor facility and get autographs from players and coaches.

It just came out this morning, but there's an amazing new motivational video put out by the school this morning featuring some of the sights and sounds of Fall Camp with a voice-over from former coach Shug Jordan. This should really get you going in the morning.

Gus is encouraged by the team's energy in camp. Of course, Gus is also the master of coach speak. At least he's talking about positive energy and not about energy vampires.

Nobody stood out on the defensive line during Fall Camp to Devaroe Lawrence. That sounds bad at first, but I promise it's not a bad thing at all.

Will Paul James contribute on the line this fall? I think he'll contribute, but possibly not on the line. I see Paul James in a similar pass-rushing linebacker role that Jeff Holland played in last season. I see James being brought in as a linebacker on obvious passing situations.

AL.com's feature on the running backs continues with today's look at Kamryn Pettway. KP runs angry and he's relishing the chance to be the bruiser for the Tigers.

Fans weren't the only ones shocked by Raashed Kennion's departure from the Auburn football team.
