SAILING CLUB
Did y'all know this was a thing? I didn't. It turns out it is, though, and they had a feature done on them in a pretty big sailing magazine.
SOFTBALL
Auburn is holding open tryouts for anyone who would like to be on Auburn's softball team. I'm guessing you're going to have to be exceptionally good to be able to make that squad.
FOOTBALL
Tuco stirred some folks up and we've gotten a lot of comments about the wearing of orange on game days and the recent fad of coordinating colors among fans around college football. I really thought the "stripe the stadium" bit looked great last season, personally. I hope this year more fans attempt to match the colors.
Malik Miller arriving early and going through spring practice may be one of the understated keys to Auburn's success this season. It's because of that time to learn what college football is truly about that he may be ready for some serious playing time this fall.
Xavier Dampeer's story has sure been an interesting one. Granted a redshirt due to his unfortunate injury last year at the hands of a teammate, he's now Auburn's starting center and looking to make the most of his final campaign.
Speaking of formerly injured offensive linemen, Alex Kozan says he's completely healthy and ready to be the anchor of the line. If he can play at his 2013 form, then the interior of Auburn's line could be a huge strength.
The ESPN SEC blog posted their season preview of Auburn football, and I have to say it's a pretty fair assessment. I agree with their best and worst case scenarios. I think this team if they can gel quickly and get any sort of a rhythm on offense has a chance to be much better than most expect.
If you like listening to Tiger Talk on the radio during the season, it's moving to a later date. The show will now be on Thursdays!
