News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

BASKETBALL

The full 2016-17 season schedule is out! See where you can catch Coach Flo's team as they make another run for the NCAA Tournament.

EQUESTRIAN

In news that should surprise no one, last year's defending national champion equestrian team is ranked #1 in the NCEA Preseason poll.

GOLF

Talk about starting the season off right! The Tigers won the Inverness Intercollegiate to start off the 2016-17 golf campaign.

TENNIS

The men's tennis team has also started things off right with a few titles in the Duke James Bonk Invitational.

FOOTBALL

Peggy still doesn't want to talk about the game. So, she provided you with other forms of entertainment for the morning. Check out this week's Undercover Barner.

Gus' weekly press conference was yesterday, and it was definitely interesting. Whether it means anything, in the end, remains to be seen. Can he get out of his own way and get back to calling plays like he used to? We'll see.

I spoke with the good folks over at And The Valley Shook for their "playing nice" segment. You'll see their answers to my questions a bit later. The amazing thing is that it's been over 12 hours since that post went up and there's no mention of Chaz Ramsey in the comments.

SEC Nation will be broadcasting from Auburn this Saturday morning. They're not going to be in the normal location that Gameday and SEC Nation have set up before. They're going to be over by the Wellness Center in the green space between there and the Coliseum.

Tom Luginbill had some good things to say about Auburn's gameday atmosphere, which is always fun to read about.

The attorneys for Landon Rice have issued a statement regarding his situation. That's a sad story that I don't know how it's going to play out.
