SOCCER

SEC Offensive Player of the Week just wasn't enough, apparently. Kristen Dodson was also named the National Player of the Week by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

SOFTBALL

Graduate Assistant Elayna Siebert is one of nine finalists for the NCAA's Woman of the Year Award. That's a pretty impressive honor!

FOOTBALL

The college football world is full of reminiscences about Les Miles after it was announced he was fired Sunday afternoon. Peggy devoted the whole of this week's Undercover Barner to remembering the insanity of The Hat on the football field.

Gus Malzahn met with the media, yesterday, as is usual for a Tuesday. See what he had to say about his decision to hand over play calling and more. He's said that giving up that role has been refreshing for him.

There was some bad news in the press conference, as he announced that Paul James III suffered a knee injury in practice last week and will likely miss the rest of the season. James III only played in three games, so he may be in line for a redshirt, but I'm not 100% sure whether he took one while at JUCO or another point in his career.

Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele doesn't play scared. He likes to be aggressive and give his defense a chance to make plays.

Jason Campbell was honored as one of the SEC Legends during last Saturday's game. See what he had to say about it and how it makes him feel about the game at the official site.

How did former Tigers in the NFL fare in Week 3? Well, there were, again, some great performances. Even if not all of them came in winning efforts. Nick Fairley had such a good night that he scared Matt Ryan right off his feet.
