2019 Four Star Power Forward Jared Jones Commits to Auburn Basketball

A week after getting the first commitment of the 2018 class, Bruce Pearl has already added a commitment for the 2019 class.

Bruce Pearl continues to build the future talent of Auburn basketball. With the early signing period for his excellent 2017 class just weeks away, and after snagging another 5* for the 2018 class just last week, the Tigers added their first commitment of the 2019 class this morning when Jared Jones, a 6'9, 232 lbs power forward from Mableton, GA gave his pledge to Auburn.

Jones is rated the #63 prospect in the nation by 247Sports' composite. He's the #17 power forward and the #3 overall prospect in the state of Georgia for the 2019 class. A lot can change between now and then in the rankings, but this is a kid with a ton of potential to get even better. He's still young enough that he could even continue to get taller.

HIGHLIGHTS

There's not a whole lot out there just yet, but here are some highlights of him. Seeing as they're posted on YouTube by a "Craig Jones," I'm going to guess they were put up by his father or other relative.

THE CLASS

He's Auburn's first recruit, putting the Tigers at #4 nationally and #2 in the SEC for the 2019 recruiting class. There's not much we can really say about the roster impact beyond that. So, let's put up embeds of the 2017, 18, and 19 classes so you can see what should be coming Auburn's way over the next few years.
